Save the world through online games
How can we use the scills that all young people learn from online gaming in the real world? That is a question that has been circulated in my head for some time now. I have no idea what knowledge they gain or what they do. To be honest, I have never played an online game in my life. Not that I know of anyway. Bt they must learn a lot, as they do spend a lot of time doing it.
Last night, a friend of my emailed me this TED talk saying it was the answer to my question. Jane McGonigal talks about how we can do tha; use the knowledge that these kids get from online gaming to something good. She’s saying that the problmsolving technique that they use online can be used in real life, we just need to make them interact with life again!
